Havmeen Hearing Lab

If you are looking for broken hearing aid wire repair, do not try to glue or solder the wire at home — that often causes more damage. Our in-house lab replaces broken wires and speakers for all major brands.

Why Hearing Aid Wires Break

Hearing aid wires are fragile. They corrode and break with moisture and normal wear. The thin receiver wires in receiver-in-canal aids flex every time you put the aid in and take it out, and over time the wire or its connection can fail.

Our Broken Hearing Aid Wire Repair Process

Wire and speaker replacement is one of our most common in-house repairs. We repair all major brands in our own lab — no middleman, no manufacturer wait. Every repair is $275 per aid with a 6-month warranty on parts repaired. Same-day service when parts are in stock. Recases and extensive work take longer and are quoted first.

Your Options

Need a repair? $275 per aid, 6-month warranty on parts repaired. Same-day when parts are in stock. We can include programming with your repair if you want it — just tell us.

Need a new shell? We can re-case your hearing aid with a 6-month warranty. An ear impression is required, and we will call with price.

Just need your sound adjusted, no repair? Programming only is $100 for one hearing aid, $150 for two hearing aids.

If you do not want programming changed, we will leave your programming alone during a standard repair.

If your repaired aid still does not sound right, it may be because your programming is outdated. You will need a new audiogram first, then we can adjust the programming to your new hearing loss.

Cleaning: sometimes an aid is just dirty or filled with wax and the parts are fine. A professional cleaning can often restore the sound without a full repair. The price depends on how much cleaning is needed — we will give you an estimate after we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a broken hearing aid wire be repaired?
Yes. Wire and speaker replacement is a common in-house repair — $275 per aid with a 6-month warranty on parts repaired.

Should I try to fix the wire myself?
No. Do not try to glue or solder a broken wire at home — it often causes more damage. Bring your aid to our Richardson lab, or mail it to us.

Will you change the programming on my hearing aid during repair?
No — not unless you ask us to. We can adjust programming and we offer that as a service, but a standard repair does not touch your programming. If your repaired hearing aid still does not sound right, it is often because your programming is outdated. In that case you will need a new audiogram, and then we can adjust the programming to your new hearing loss.
