Havmeen Hearing Lab

If you are looking for hearing aid wax damage repair, you should know that wax and moisture are the most common causes of weak or distorted sound — and a professional cleaning often restores sound without a full repair.

How Wax Damages Hearing Aids

Wax builds up in the receiver and microphone openings and blocks sound. Over time, it can damage the microphone or speaker. Wax protection options, such as wax guards and filters, plus regular professional cleaning, help keep your aid working.

Our Hearing Aid Wax Damage Repair Process

If cleaning alone cannot fix it, our hearing aid wax damage repair service fixes what wax has damaged. We repair all major brands in our own lab — no middleman, no manufacturer wait. Every repair is $275 per aid with a 6-month warranty on parts repaired. Same-day service when parts are in stock. Recases and extensive work take longer and are quoted first.

Your Options

Need a repair? $275 per aid, 6-month warranty on parts repaired. Same-day when parts are in stock. We can include programming with your repair if you want it — just tell us.

Need a new shell? We can re-case your hearing aid with a 6-month warranty. An ear impression is required, and we will call with price.

Just need your sound adjusted, no repair? Programming only is $100 for one hearing aid, $150 for two hearing aids.

If you do not want programming changed, we will leave your programming alone during a standard repair.

If your repaired aid still does not sound right, it may be because your programming is outdated. You will need a new audiogram first, then we can adjust the programming to your new hearing loss.

Cleaning: sometimes an aid is just dirty or filled with wax and the parts are fine. A professional cleaning can often restore the sound without a full repair. The price depends on how much cleaning is needed — we will give you an estimate after we check it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can wax damage be cleaned, or does it need a repair?
Often a professional cleaning restores the sound. If wax has damaged the microphone or speaker, an in-house repair is $275 per aid with a 6-month warranty on parts repaired.

How do I protect my hearing aid from wax?
Wax guards, filters, and regular professional cleaning help protect your aid. Call (469) 230-2392 for advice on the right option for your model.

Will you change the programming on my hearing aid during repair?
No — not unless you ask us to. We can adjust programming and we offer that as a service, but a standard repair does not touch your programming. If your repaired hearing aid still does not sound right, it is often because your programming is outdated. In that case you will need a new audiogram, and then we can adjust the programming to your new hearing loss.
