My husband’s hearing aids are over 5 years old. No audiologist, not even the company from whom he bought them, would consider attempting to repair. We were lucky enough to have found a place near us that would work on his existing hearing aids without trying to sell him new ones.
Alas, they closed, but we were able to find Mr. Amin, who was their hearing aid technician (i.e. “wonder worker”) and were so pleased to discover that he had decided to open his own business.
His expertise is definitely a God-send to those of us “seniors”, who live on fixed incomes and have to use hearing aids. In this “throw away” society, it is so great to find a craftsman who knows how to actually fix things and is willing to do whatever he can, at a reasonable price, to fix your existing hearing instrument. It is also rare to find someone who is ethical in his dealings with customers and will truthfully tell you what he can and cannot do.
It is well worth the trip to his place of business to avail yourselves of his service.
